WRECK DIVER

In this course, the techniques and equipment needed to safely dive wrecks will be discussed and used.

In this course the techniques and equipment needed to safely dive wrecks will be discussed and used. This course can be taught as:

1) Without penetration External exploration.

2) Limited penetration. By “limited penetration”, it is defined by remaining in places where direct light arrives from the outside.

The following topics are covered in the Wreck Diver course:

  1. The planning, organisation, procedures, problems and dangers of wreck diving.
  2. The preparation and use of lights, air supplies, specialist equipment, “Ariadne’s strings” for penetration and reels/reels.
  3. Diving techniques necessary in conditions of poor visibility and emergency procedures.

The Wreck Diver course includes four open water dives, which must be carried out over at least two days. Dives involving penetration into a wreck must be limited to the “bright zone”, as defined in the Cavern Diver specialty course, and within 40 meters from the surface, adding vertical and horizontal distances.

In order to participate in the Wreck Diver course, a person must:

  1. Be certified as an Adventure Diver
  2. Be at least 15 years old.

    ADVANCED WRECK DIVER

    This course aims to train divers to safely carry out advanced wreck dives , the training includes penetration techniques and the maximum depth cannot exceed that at which the diver is certified, in any case not exceeding fifty (50) meters with a maximum  wreck penetration of 50 meters . The objective of the Advanced Wreck Diver course is to train divers in correct techniques, the use of the necessary equipment and the dangers of technical wreck diving.

    Maximum depth: for dives 1 and 2 it is 20 meters, for dives 3 and 4 it is 40 meters, while the maximum limit for the other dives is 50 meters and in any case cannot exceed that at which the diver is certified Course duration: The course includes 6 open water dives to be carried out over at least 3 days.

    By the start of the course, a diver must be:

    1.  Certified as  PADI TecRec Tec 45 , or  TDI Decompression Procedures Diver or have qualifying certification issued by another educational organization
    2.  Certified as a Specialty Wreck Diver or Cavern Diver
    3.  Be at least 18 years old.

    The Wreck Diver and Advanced Wreck Diver courses can be carried out in both Backmount and Sidemount configurations.
