NITROX DIVER COURSE
This is the entry level certification course for recreational divers who wish to use Nitrox (Enriched Air) as their diving gas.
The objective of this course is to educate divers to understand the benefits, risks and correct procedures for using Nitrox mixes from twenty-two (22) to forty (40)% oxygen.
Prerogatives of patentees
After successfully completing this course:
The certified can dive using mixes ranging from EAN-22 to EAN-40 without direct supervision.
Certified divers can access the following courses:
1. TDI Advanced Nitrox Course.
2. TDI Decompression Procedures Course.
3. TDI Semi-closed Rebreather Course.
INTRO TO TECH COURSE
The TDI Intro to Tech course is perfect for divers who have heard of technical diving and want to learn more about this branch of advanced recreational diving. This course takes students through special techniques, planning procedures and skills that differentiate technical diving from traditional diving sports. You will be shown how to improve your dive planning methods, water skills and how to hydrodynamicize your existing equipment setup, all in a fun and non-intimidating learning environment. The technical specifications that this course will highlight are:
- Advanced Buoyancy Control
- Gas management
- Situational awareness
- Trim
- Choice and Configuration of Equipment
- More!
ADVANCED NITROX DIVER
This course examines the use of EAN mixes from 22 to 100% oxygen as the optimal mix in dives to depths of up to 40 metres.
The objective of this course is to train divers on the benefits, risks and correct procedures of using EAN mixtures from 22 to 100% oxygen for dives without mandatory decompression stops.
The Decompression Techniques Course can be combined with this course at the discretion of the instructor.
Prerogatives of patentees
After successful completion of this course, the certified can dive using EAN mixtures from 22 to 100% oxygen without the supervision of an instructor under the following conditions:
- Underwater activities similar to those carried out in training.
- Types of dives similar to those carried out in training.
- Weather conditions similar to those found in training.
- TDI Decompression Procedures Course.
- TDI Extended Range Course.
DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES
This course examines the theory, methods and procedures for diving with programmed decompression stops.
This program is designed as a stand-alone course, but can be taught alongside the Advanced Nitrox, Advanced Wreck or Extended Range TDI courses.
The objective of this course is to train divers to plan and conduct a decompression dive that does not exceed a maximum depth of forty-five (45) meters, unless taught in conjunction with the Extended Range Course.
The equipment necessary for this type of diving, the most common configurations and decompression techniques are presented.
Students are permitted to use EAN mixes or oxygen for decompression as long as the gas mix is within their current certification level.
Prerogatives of patentees
After successful completion of this course, the certified person can perform dives with programmed decompression stops without the supervision of an instructor under the following conditions:
- Underwater activities similar to those carried out in training.
- Types of dives similar to those carried out in training.
- Weather conditions similar to those found in training.
- TDI Advanced Nitrox Course.
- TDI Extended Range Course.
- TDI Advanced Wreck Course.
- TDI Entry Level Trimix.
EXTENDED RANGE
This course trains and gives divers the necessary experience to dive competently and safely in the air up to a maximum depth of fifty-five (55) meters, in dives with mandatory decompression stops, using EAN mixtures and/or oxygen during the decompression phases.
Prerogatives of certified holders
After successful completion of this course, the certified holder can carry out decompression dives without the supervision of an instructor in the following conditions:
1. Underwater activities similar to those carried out in training.
2. Types of dives similar to those performed in training.
3. Weather conditions similar to those found in training.
After successful completion of this course, trainees can enroll in:
1. TDI Advanced Wreck Course.
2. TDI Entry Trimix Course.
3. TDI Advanced Trimix Course.
TRIMIX DIVER
This course trains and gives divers the experience necessary to carry out dives competently and safely using bottom mixtures containing helium and EAN or oxygen during the decompression phases, to a maximum depth of sixty (60) metres. The objective of this course is to train divers in the correct techniques, necessary equipment and dangers of diving with oxygen/nitrogen/helium mixtures. The mixtures used must not contain a quantity of oxygen lower than eighteen percent (18%).
Prerogatives of certificate holders
After successful completion of this course, the certificate holder can carry out dives with Trimix mixtures without the supervision of an instructor in the following conditions:
1. Underwater activities similar to those carried out in training.
2. Types of dives similar to those performed in training.
3. Weather conditions similar to those found in training.
4. Percentage of oxygen equal to or greater than eighteen (18)
ADVANCED TRIMIX DIVER
The TDI Advanced Trimix Diver course is the highest level of training for open circuit divers who want to dive to 100 meters, using hypoxic oxygen levels (below 17%).
This course is perhaps one of the most informative and challenging of all open circuit TDI courses.
When finished, you will be able to do and see more while diving than any other diver.
Course prerequisites:
Minimum age 18 years
Minimum TDI Extended Range or Trimix Diver certification or equivalent
Show proof of 100 logged dives, 25 must be deeper than 30 meters.
