ADVANCED WRECK DIVER
TO FACE THE MOST CHALLENGING ADVENTURES

The Advanced Wreck Diver course is designed for divers who want to deepen their skills in advanced wreck diving, going beyond the basic techniques learned in the Wreck Diver course. This advanced training program focuses on more complex penetration techniques inside wrecks and the safe management of dives at greater depths, providing comprehensive training that includes the use of specialized equipment and risk management associated with technical wreck dives.

Throughout the course, divers will learn penetration techniques within wrecks, ensuring that every movement is made with the utmost safety. The maximum depth allowed cannot exceed the level for which the diver is already certified, with a maximum limit of 50 meters. Likewise, penetration into the wreck must not exceed 50 meters. This advanced training aims to develop a thorough understanding of the correct techniques, the use of necessary equipment, and the specific dangers associated with technical wreck dives, enabling participants to tackle more complex situations than those covered in previous courses.

The Advanced Wreck Diver course includes a total of six open water dives, spread over at least three days. The first two dives are limited to a maximum depth of 20 meters, while subsequent dives progressively reach greater depths: 40 meters for the third and fourth dives, and up to a maximum of 50 meters for the final dives. However, these depths must not exceed the diver’s current certification level.

To participate in this course, divers must be at least 18 years old and certified as PADI TecRec Tec 45, TDI Decompression Procedures Diver, or hold an equivalent certification from another educational organization. Additionally, participants must already be certified as Specialty Wreck Divers or Cavern Divers, ensuring they have a solid foundation of experience in wreck diving or confined environments.

The Advanced Wreck Diver course can be conducted in either Backmount or Sidemount configuration, offering flexibility based on divers’ preferences and equipment. This approach allows the course to be tailored to the diverse technical and operational needs of participants, further enhancing their ability to execute advanced wreck dives safely and effectively.
