WRECK DIVER
TO FACE THE MOST CHALLENGING ADVENTURES

The Wreck Diver course is designed to equip divers with the skills, techniques, and equipment necessary to safely explore submerged wrecks. Throughout the course, participants will learn how to tackle the unique challenges these dives present, developing a thorough understanding of the procedures and precautions needed to ensure a safe and rewarding experience.

The Wreck Diver course stands out for its emphasis on safety and the proper use of equipment. Participants will have the opportunity to explore wrecks both from the outside, without penetrating the structures, and through limited penetration, which allows entry into areas naturally illuminated by external light. This limited penetration is strictly regulated, enabling divers to remain within zones where daylight is still visible, thus reducing the risks associated with deeper and more complex exploration.

During the course, various fundamental aspects of wreck diving will be addressed. This includes careful dive planning, organization of underwater activities, and identification and management of specific problems and hazards associated with this type of diving. Additionally, divers will learn how to prepare and correctly use specialized equipment, such as underwater lights, additional air supplies, reels, and safety lines—essential tools for navigation and safety within wrecks.

The course includes four open water dives spread over at least two days, during which divers will practice what they have learned. Penetration dives must occur within the “light zone” and not exceed 40 meters from the surface, considering both vertical and horizontal distance.

To participate in the Wreck Diver course, candidates must be certified as Adventure Divers and be at least 15 years old. This ensures that participants have a solid foundation of diving experience before facing the challenges of wreck diving.
